Job summary

Trident Systems Space Electronic Systems (SES) division is seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineer to support the build and delivery of space flight products. You will join the production team and work on electromechanical assemblies for military and space applications.

You will analyze capacity and throughput, drive process improvements, and ensure manufacturability while upholding design standards. This role requires flexibility to work 1st-3rd shifts and occasional travel within Virginia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or 2+ years with a graduate degree.
• Experience with manufacturing processes for electromechanical assemblies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering process support to the manufacturing of electromechanical assemblies for military and space applications.
• Conduct data analysis for capacity, throughput, and performance indicators.
• Recommend and implement process improvements and lean manufacturing techniques.
• Create detailed work instructions from engineering drawings for technicians to assemble, test, and inspect products.
• Review new designs for manufacturability and ensure compliance with standards.
• Support MRB/FRB for disposition of discrepant material and root-cause actions.
