Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an engineer to support testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of fluid systems for its launch facilities and vehicles. You will work with teams to ensure safety, reliability, and performance while developing procedures and troubleshooting complex plumbing and pressure systems.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 2+ years of related experience, and ability to adapt to shift and travel requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• BS degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering or similar discipline.
• 2+ years of design or fluid system operation experience.
• Experience writing and executing test plans for qualification, acceptance, and operations of hazardous/safety-critical components.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to build, operate, and maintain a world-class launch site and vehicle.
• Author and run procedures for commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and fluid system operations.
• Collaborate on system safety, perform hazards analyses, and guide safety controls.
• Operate and maintain launch pad piping systems including hydraulic and pneumatic piping systems.
• Assist with oversight commissioning and operation of new or modified piping/pressure systems.
• Occasional travel may be necessary.
• Occasional second shift may be necessary.
