Job summary

METECS is seeking a Spaceflight Hardware Electrical Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test electronics and electrical systems for spaceflight hardware. You will contribute to electronic hardware development from circuit design and component selection through initial checkout, integration, and test.

The role combines circuit and interface design, EEE parts evaluation, laboratory troubleshooting, and coordination with suppliers, technicians, and test organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience in aerospace/high-reliability electronics development.
• Experience with schematic development and hardware bring-up.
• Experience with EEE parts selection for aerospace/high-reliability systems.

Responsibilities

• Design analog and digital electronics and develop schematics, interfaces, grounding, bonding, and harness requirements.
• Select and evaluate EEE parts for aerospace applications, incl. derating and reliability considerations.
• Support circuit-board design, fabrication, assembly, initial checkout, and troubleshooting.
• Develop test fixtures, ground-support equipment, data-acquisition systems, or test automation.
• Perform laboratory troubleshooting and support development, verification, acceptance, and environmental testing.
• Coordinate electrical hardware activities with suppliers and test facilities.
