Job summary

A private technology company in San Diego is seeking a Flight Assembly Technician responsible for high-level assembly of prototype and spaceflight electronics. The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years of experience, strong hand soldering skills, and relevant certifications. Tasks include assembling various components, maintaining records, and supporting engineering tasks. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $28-31 per hour and requires the ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience required.
  • J-STD-001 certification required, Space Addendum preferred.
  • Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic, mechanical, optical, and cable harness assemblies.
  • Maintain detailed assembly records and assist hardware engineering.
  • Perform ESD checks and maintain a clean work area.
