Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to own electrical integration and testing in the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) laboratory for spacecraft systems. You will validate electrical subsystems, develop EGSE, and support launch operations within the In-Space Systems unit and Blue Ring program.

The role requires hands-on testing, leadership in test execution, and collaboration with product teams to ensure successful test campaigns. Travel up to 25% and TS clearance considerations apply.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Systems Engineering or related technical subject.
  • 3+ years of post-graduation experience in engineering fields.
  • Experience testing aerospace flight hardware for NASA, Commercial Space, or DoD missiles.
  • Experience with flight hardware in production facilities or labs.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and standards; interpret requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, architect, and coordinate resources to test spacecraft electrical systems.
  • Test spacecraft hardware in the HIL development environment.
  • Conduct design, readiness, and test readiness reviews for events.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to execute risk reduction or verification runs.
  • Identify and mitigate cost, schedule, and technical risks.
