Job summary

Aegis Aerospace is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test electrical hardware for spaceflight programs in Webster, Texas. This is a 2-year contract with a fixed 29-hour weekly schedule, onsite Monday–Wednesday and remote Thursday.

The successful candidate will work across the full development lifecycle—from requirements through verification—and collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 5+ years in spaceflight/space hardware product development.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident with ability to pass a U.S. government background check.
• Experience with Altium and PCB design.
• Hands-on lab testing of electrical systems.
• Strong documentation and communication.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into electrical hardware requirements.
• Develop and document electrical system and hardware requirements.
• Design electrical circuits, PCBs, interfaces, and supporting hardware.
• Perform circuit analyses and engineering calculations to validate design performance.
• Ensure designs meet size, weight, power, performance, and cost constraints.
• Define and baseline electrical interfaces for system integration.
• Develop electrical specs, schematics, drawings, and documentation.
• Support PCB design using Altium or comparable tools.
• Plan and execute verification and validation activities.
