Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Seattle, WA is seeking an Avionics Assembly Technician to support New Glenn NPI Lab, performing assembly, repair, and evaluation of avionics components for flight-grade systems.

Responsibilities include building components in development, test, and flight environments, collaborating with engineering to optimize production, and contributing to continuous improvement while prioritizing safety and quality in a high-performance aerospace setting.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ESD EPA and tool control processes.
  • Experience using electronics assembly tools, hand soldering, and basic test equipment (multimeters, power supplies).
  • Experience applying torque to fasteners.
  • Fabricating, terminating, and testing wire harnesses.
  • 2+ years of experience in Aerospace Avionics or related fields.
  • Experience inspecting and certifying work to relevant standards.
  • Attention to detail and passion for space.
  • U.S. citizen or eligible status; ability to lift 50 lbs; willingness to work 4x10s with occasional overtime.
  • Experience with polymerics (staking, potting, encapsulation, conformal coating).

Responsibilities

  • Build components and assemblies for New Glenn Avionics in development, test, and flight environments.
  • Assist with assembly of new designs by collaborating with engineering to optimize production.
  • Provide input on manufacturing improvements and build changes for efficiency.
  • Support internal and external customers across multiple systems and platforms with safety and quality focus.
