Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Thermal Test Engineer to join the Thermal Subsystem team. You will prepare and execute spacecraft-level and assembly-level thermal vacuum tests to validate design and workmanship.

Responsibilities include developing test requirements, procedures, data analysis, and coordinating with chamber operators and other engineers. Shift-based testing and weekend/holiday support are required during campaigns.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering; four additional years of related experience may be substituted.
• 2 years of relevant experience or a master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related discipline.
• Ability to accommodate day, swing, and grave shifts as well as weekend/holiday shifts during thermal vacuum testing campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements for thermal vacuum testing and define test equipment needs.
• Prepare for and execute spacecraft-level and assembly-level thermal vacuum tests to validate design and workmanship.
• Develop and maintain data spreadsheets, test procedures, and reports for test campaigns.
• Lead regular multifunctional meetings and perform pre-test checkouts of instrumentation.
• Provide shift support during testing, monitor telemetry, and coordinate with chamber operators and spacecraft personnel.
