Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a STARSHIELD Test Specialist, Components, to support Starshield satellite bring-up and production. You will design tooling, develop test procedures, and contribute to ongoing qualification tests, including TVAC and EMI, in Hawthorne, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline or 2+ years hands-on experience
• 1+ years of electronic testing and inspection with portable devices
• 5+ years reading electrical schematics to rework boards or test
• Ability to read electromechanical schematics and Ohm's Law knowledge
• Experience developing Python-based software for real-world use
• Ability to assemble and repair electrical systems including soldering and harnessing
• Experience in moderate to high-volume manufacturing
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge/experience with high-voltage AC/DC systems
• Knowledge of electrical components, DAQ systems, and harnessing

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
• Test independently and with engineers per procedures
• Interpret test logs and data to troubleshoot errors
• Collaborate with engineers to document test procedures
• Develop safety barriers and control systems for high-voltage testing
• Design fixtures, test setups, and test stands for qualification or development
• Fabricate DAQ hardware and wire harnesses per specs
• Work with mechanical or fluid systems and high-voltage electricals
• Aid root-cause analysis and permanent resolutions
• Document procedures and train operators for execution and maintenance
• Maintain shop floor, floor stock, tooling, and GSE
