Xona, the navigational intelligence company, is seeking its first Technical Writer to support engineering, launch, and manufacturing across the program. You'll translate complex engineering content into clear, actionable documentation, from ICDs to SOPs, and help shape standards for the production floor.

Based in Burlingame, CA, this cross-functional role requires collaboration with engineers, program teams, and suppliers, with occasional travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of technical writing in aerospace or similar field.
• Comfortable extracting content from engineers into ICDs, test procedures, design specs, and review packages.
• Proven ability to build clear documentation templates and ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
• Self-directed and able to manage multiple documentation workstreams in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain ICDs, test procedures, design specs, and review packages.
• Attend design reviews and translate technical details into clear, actionable documentation.
• Own organization and on-time delivery of launch campaign documentation.
• Generate, edit, and maintain contract deliverable documentation.
• Develop SLA definitions with Service Operations and subsystems for reliable on-orbit operations.
• Establish document control systems and templates to scale with the team.
• Coordinate across geographically distributed teams; travel to sites may be required.
• Build templates for manufacturing work instructions and SOPs and ensure content accuracy.
