Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Spacecraft Systems Flight Controller to serve as the real-time systems engineer for Dream Chaser spacecraft during mission operations. Based at the Taylor Mission Control Center in Louisville, CO, you will monitor telemetry, execute procedures, and provide decisive technical guidance to ensure health and mission success.

You will represent a console discipline within the Flight Control Team, work on telemetry analysis, and coordinate with ESR for troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering (Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems) or related field.
• Typically 2+ years of related spacecraft/ aerospace experience.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering and lifecycle processes.
• Knowledge of subsystem operations across disciplines (power, thermal, propulsion, avionics, mechanical).
• Ability to analyze data and make decisions in real-time operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time telemetry and command spacecraft subsystems during missions.
• Analyze telemetry trends and identify anomalies.
• Develop procedures, flight rules, and display pages for operations.
• Coordinate with ESR and other console positions to resolve issues.
