Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Structures Design Engineer to manage the design and development of spacecraft structures and secondary supports, generating drawings and supporting spacecraft structure builds. Responsibilities include creating product specifications, overseeing subcontracted hardware integration, generating Creo models, and driving process improvements in a multidisciplinary environment.

Minimum requirements include U.S.

Qualifications

Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace), or related field.
2 years of experience.
Piece part and subassembly modeling in CREO or other CAD software and assembly drawing generation.

Responsibilities

Create product specifications, negotiate design details, interfaces, test plans/procedures, and mfg/test processes based on program requirements.
Assist in oversight for the integration of subcontracted hardware into spacecraft systems architecture.
Generate engineering drawing and models with Creo and other design tools.
Help disposition nonconformances and drive for process improvements.
