Amentum in Houston, TX, is seeking a Structural Dynamics Engineer to join our team supporting NASA programs. You will perform dynamic analyses on spacecraft structures, develop and run FE models, and apply model reduction and vibroacoustic methods to ensure readiness for ground tests and flight environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with related experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with desktop software (MS Office) is required.
• Experience in FE model manipulation and coupled loads analysis.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB, and/or C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Perform FE model checks, dynamic model reductions, and coupled loads analysis.
• Perform dynamic analyses using Python/MATLAB/C/C++ as needed.
• Conduct vibroacoustic and modal analyses on FE models for tests.
• Identify critical modes for components or subsystems.
• Review and process modal and structural data (analytical and test).
• Develop/test plans and document results; perform data signal processing.
• Conduct model correlation by adjusting analyses to match hardware data.
• Perform other duties as required.
