Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Structural Dynamics Analyst in Houston to analyze how spacecraft structures respond to dynamic environments. You will develop finite element models in Nastran, perform modal and structural dynamics analyses, and support testing to ensure flight hardware meets requirements.

You will collaborate with design and test teams to model components, evaluate vibration and acoustic responses, and correlate results with test data to drive improvements in structural integrity,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in structural dynamics, vibration, or launch/space vehicle dynamics.
• Proficient in analytical simulations and finite element modeling with Nastran.
• Experience with sine/random vibration, shock, vibro-acoustic analyses, and hand calculations.

Responsibilities

• Develop FE models in Nastran and perform modal/dynamic analyses.
• Evaluate spacecraft structural performance and support testing activities.
• Model spacecraft components and analyze vibration/acoustic responses.
• Correlate analytical results with test data and recommend improvements.
• Improve structural integrity, performance, and weight efficiency.
