Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. in Los Angeles seeks a Solar Technician to support the assembly, integration, and testing of solar array systems for spacecraft platforms.

You will work closely with engineering and production teams to build flight-ready hardware and improve manufacturing processes as we scale. This hands-on role requires strong background in aerospace or related manufacturing, precision assembly, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mechanical assembly/manufacturing/production environments.
• Experience assembling precision mechanical or electromechanical hardware.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and instructions.
• Proficiency with hand tools, torque tools, measurement equipment and precision assembly techniques.
• Familiarity with mechanical fastening, bonding and hardware installation processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, integration, and testing of spacecraft solar array systems and related hardware.
• Assemble precision mechanical components using drawings and procedures.
• Install and integrate solar panels, deployment mechanisms, hinges, brackets, and fasteners.
• Operate and maintain automated manufacturing equipment.
• Inspect completed assemblies for engineering and quality compliance.
• Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues and nonconformances.
• Collaborate with engineers, quality inspectors, and technicians to resolve production issues.
• Support functional and deployment testing of solar arrays.
• Maintain build records, traceability, and production data.
• Follow safety and quality control procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and repeatability.
