Job summary

Moog is seeking a Project Quality Engineer to oversee quality processes that ensure our spacecraft hardware meets customer and contractual requirements. You will report to the Quality Manager and work onsite in Chatsworth, California.

You will develop and implement quality plans, interpret requirements, lead RCCA investigations, and coordinate with customers, suppliers, and government representatives to maintain product integrity and mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM discipline and 3 years of quality engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, spacecraft, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
• Experience serving as a quality interface with customers, suppliers, and government representatives.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate quality risks, technical concerns, and compliance issues effectively to manufacturing, engineering, program management, customers, and executive leadership.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T requirements, manufacturing plans, and acceptance test documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Quality Engineering representative for assigned programs and IPTs.
• Interpret customer, contractual, regulatory, and internal quality requirements and ensure implementation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop and execute program quality and mission assurance plans with surveillance, compliance verification, and risk mitigation.
• Participate in reviews to ensure quality requirements and risks are addressed.
• Monitor program quality performance and communicate significant risks and trends to leadership and customers.
• Support MRB activities, including nonconformance assessments and disposition recommendations.
