Job summary

Firefly Aerospace, a space and defense technology company, seeks a Quality Assurance Manager for Spacecraft & Avionics to lead quality operations and mission assurance for early-stage development and production. You will bridge avionics engineering with high-reliability aerospace manufacturing while guiding a growing quality team and collaborating across sites.

The role focuses on establishing robust processes, APQP, PAPP/FAI, DFMEA, PFMEA, and hands-on floor engagement to support rapid factory

Qualifications

• 5–7 years aerospace quality leadership.
• 2–5 years with a focus on spacecraft or launch vehicles.
• Deep, hands-on experience auditing AS9100 standards.
• BS/BA in Engineering or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a growing 10-person quality team including engineers, specialists, inspectors, and technicians.
• Ensure implementation and adherence to the AS9100 QMS across the factory.
• Collaborate with peer quality leaders and with manufacturing, engineering, and program teams to align standards.
• Oversee documentation (MRB, CAPA) and hands-on floor evaluations of flight electronics, power systems, and harness assemblies.
