Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking a Spacecraft Propulsion Components Engineer I to lead propulsion-related development in Long Beach, CA. You will own system and component work, create CAD designs, perform analyses, and mentor others within a fast-paced space systems team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and propulsion system experience.
• Experience in propulsion system development or other high-performance field.
• US citizenship is required for ITAR/compliance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own development of propulsion system components and guide end-to-end development.
• Create CAD designs and perform performance calculations for propulsion parts.
• Review drawings and specifications, and plan tests with data analysis.
• Mentor teammates and help define engineering standards and processes.
