Job summary

Xona is seeking an experienced Production Leader to manage the Satellite Assembly, Integration & Test facility in Burlingame, CA. You will lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations, ensure safe, on‑time delivery, and drive scalability while partnering with Engineering, Supply Chain and QA.

You will own the master production schedule, improve throughput, manage budgets and equipment maintenance, and mentor a high‑performing team in a highly regulated space environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a supervisor or manager role in a scaled production facility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, TPM, and Six Sigma preferred.
• Experience in space/aerospace or high‑reliability hardware assembly is desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the production team responsible for safe, high quality, on‑time, scaled production of the Xona satellite at the Burlingame facility.
• Manage the overall production processes and activities; production work order planning, shift staffing, shift hand‑over communications, operational KPI tracking and production facility efficiency.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing production team with a focus on safety, accountability and performance.
• Demonstrate autonomy and cross‑team collaboration to achieve ramp‑up targets and drive continuous improvement of the production system.
