Job summary

Star Catcher Industries, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL, is hiring a Spacecraft Electrical Engineer to design and implement electrical systems for space-to-space power beaming missions. You will work on COTS PCBAs, rapid prototyping, and supplier collaboration to meet stringent space requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years experience, deep PCB design knowledge, and proficiency with Altium Designer. This role supports the Star Catcher Network and the orbital power grid in a dynamic team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in electrical engineering, space-grade PCB design.
• Experience with Altium Designer.
• Experience leading electrical systems for space missions.
• Familiarity with NASA/DoD life cycle and technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).
• Creative problem-solving for advanced engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design COTS-based PCBAs for space environments including power and control.
• Prototype electrical systems rapidly to verify performance and reliability.
• Oversee manufacturing and assembly; procure parts meeting specs and standards.
• Engage in R&D to innovate or improve electrical systems for missions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into spacecraft.
• Create schematics, specifications, and test plans for compliance and reference.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets related to electrical tasks.
