Astranis Space Technologies Corp. is seeking a Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer to own the complete lifecycle of opto-mechanical systems on our spacecraft. You will design, test, and integrate assemblies, mentor junior engineers, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust hardware.

Requirements include a BS/MS in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 5+ years of opto-mechanical design, with strong hands-on testing and experience with free-space optics. U.S.

Qualificações

• BS or MS in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 5+ years of opto-mechanical design experience.
• Strong hands-on testing and integration skills.
• Experience with free-space optics and miniature assemblies.

Responsabilidades

• Develop opto-mechanical products from concept to production.
• Design and integrate free-space optical assemblies and mounts.
• Perform tolerance analyses and tolerance stack-ups.
• Integrate mechanical, optical and electrical components into systems.
• Lead mechanical and opto-mechanical design reviews.
• Collaborate with optical, electrical, manufacturing and other teams.
• Assist in recruiting, mentoring and growing teammates.
