Job summary

Turion Space Corp. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Irvine, CA headquarters on-site. You will work across the full development lifecycle to design and build satellites and mechanisms for space missions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust flight hardware.

The role requires 3+ years of mechanical design experience, Spacecraft design background, and proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred). Eligibility for U.S. security clearances is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of mechanical design and drafting experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Solid understanding and application of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
• Spacecraft design experience.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design metallic structures and propulsion fluid systems under accelerated timelines.
• Review specifications and other engineering data to develop mechanical systems.
• Update designs and drawings through engineering change orders to support rapid design iteration.
• Create detailed component and assembly drawings incorporating GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
