Job summary

Turion Space in Irvine, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and build satellite hardware across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust flight hardware.

The position requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 3+ years of mechanical design, SolidWorks, GD&T, and the ability to obtain a Secret/TS/SCI clearance. It is an on-site role with potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering discipline
• 3+ years of mechanical design and drafting experience
• SolidWorks experience
• Understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
• Ability to obtain Secret/TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities

• Design metallic structures and propulsion fluid systems under accelerated timelines
• Review specifications and other engineering data to develop mechanical systems
• Update designs and drawings through engineering change orders to support rapid design iteration
• Create detailed component and assembly drawings incorporating understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
