Varda Space Industries in El Segundo, California, invites a Manufacturing Engineer II – Integration to orchestrate final assembly on the factory floor. You will own integration sequences, create travelers, and coordinate between structures, propulsion, avionics, and TPS to deliver a complete, flight-ready vehicle.

You will lead readiness reviews, resolve interface conflicts, and drive process improvements while balancing safety and schedule adherence on a high‑stakes aerospace production line.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Systems Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in vehicle or system-level integration or final assembly in aerospace/defense/robotics.
• Experience coordinating multi-discipline interfaces during integration.
• Ability to manage priorities and make on-floor decisions on production lines.
• Strong communication across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Own spacecraft integration sequences from subassembly to final closeout.
• Develop and maintain travelers and integration work instructions.
• Interface between manufacturing and engineering during integration.
• Identify and resolve interface conflicts and assembly sequencing issues.
• Lead readiness reviews and ensure cleanliness, FOD sweeps, and torque records are documented.
• Drive RCCA for integration non-conformances and coordinate MRB disposition.
• Track cadence metrics and implement improvements to meet schedule goals.
• Define tooling and handling equipment needs for safe integration.
