Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Inspector – Level 3 for its Space Sector in Dulles, VA. This 100% onsite role focuses on mechanical, RF and electrical inspections of spacecraft and components within the SMF, with a demanding attention to documentation accuracy and safety. The candidate must have a High School diploma plus 4 years of related experience and be able to obtain a U.S.

Top-Secret clearance. The position requires weekend work flexibility and travel as needed, on a 9/80 schedule with

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% annually.
• Proficient in reading blueprints/drawings to verify complex flight hardware.

Responsibilities

• Perform in‑process and final mechanical, RF, and electrical inspections on fully integrated spacecraft, components, and sub‑assemblies.
• Generate nonconformance reports for discrepancies identified during inspection activities.
• Conduct audits of work areas to verify compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 procedures and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Work with ITEE/ITME/ITRF to verify test setups and support test readiness.
