Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Dulles, VA, is hiring an Engineering Tech Support – Level 1 for 100% onsite work.

You will perform wiring assembly, harnessing, and integration tasks on spaceflight hardware, following strict ISO, cleanroom, and ESD protocols while maintaining quality and safety standards. You will collaborate with engineers and shop leads, handle detailed documentation, and contribute to mission success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with no additional education required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Interpret detailed work instructions, electrical schematics, wire lists, and complex engineering documentation.
• Assemble electromechanical and electronic components and spacecraft wire harnesses.
• Support the integration of critical spaceflight electrical hardware with attention to safety and quality.
• Adhere 100% to ISO processes, cleanroom protocols, ESD controls, hazardous material handling, and procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of electrical/mechanical assemblies and use of hand tools and measuring devices.
• Interact daily with management, engineers, and leads to communicate status and resolve issues.
• Work effectively within a diverse team and accept feedback from Safety and Quality personnel.
• Maintain flexibility to support off-shift work and up to 25% domestic travel for launch campaigns.
