Job summary

Astranis is seeking a Harness Design Engineer Intern for Winter 2027 to contribute to flight and test harness design. You will work with the harnessing team on wiring diagrams, schematics, and 3D routing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interfaces between subsystems.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in mechatronics or electrical engineering (or equivalent).
Interest in learning about spacecraft systems and subsystems.
Familiar with power and data transmission concepts.

Responsibilities

Work with the harnessing design team on designing flight and test harnessing
Create wiring diagrams, block diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings of spacecraft harnessing
Work with cross-functional teams to define interfaces between different subsystems
Use CAD programs to route harnessing in 3D
Utilize EE fundamentals to select appropriate design components based on voltage, power, frequency, and data-rate
Work with production to fabricate in-house cables
