Job summary

FTS International, LLC is seeking a Spacecraft Hardware Interface Engineer in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on maturation of electrical system requirements, interface coordination across vendors, and development of spacecraft builds.

The engineer will support integration and verification activities, collaborate with government and industry teams, and prepare technical documentation and briefings to inform program decisions.

Qualifications

• BS STEM in engineering discipline required.
• 9+ years of experience in optical systems, spacecraft payloads, or aerospace programs.
• Experience with payloads and precision mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of systems engineering principles, interface management, and integration activities.
• Experience with technical reviews and engineering coordination across organizations.

Responsibilities

• Support integration and verification activities for spacecraft interfaces.
• Coordinate activities among vendors, government organizations, and engineering teams to support schedule, performance, and mission objectives.
• Develop technical documentation, interface control products, engineering recommendations, and support executive briefings.
• Collaborate with government and industry teams to identify common architectures, modular designs, and standardized interfaces.
