Job summary

FTS International, LLC in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support design, development, integration, test, deployment, and sustainment of software systems for advanced space vehicle programs. You will analyze requirements, develop architecture artifacts, and collaborate across software and hardware teams to ensure end-to-end system integration.

The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph, a BS in engineering, and 9+ years in relevant domains.

Qualifications

TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
BS STEM in engineering discipline.
9+ years in software or systems engineering or software integration.
Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, and waterfall approaches.
Experience in aerospace/defense/space environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Translate stakeholder and system requirements into software and interface requirements.
Develop and maintain architecture products, ICDs, and SE artifacts.
Support requirements decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation.
Collaborate across flight software, ground software, cybersecurity, and hardware teams.
Participate in design reviews and SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and ORR.
Ensure end-to-end system integration and traceability.
