Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Spacecraft Ground Operations Engineer in Chantilly, VA. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph and involves supporting a major system acquisition with spacecraft mission integration and ground segment analysis.

As a SETA, you will participate in agile planning, reviews, and boards, witness tests, and provide recommendations for process improvements. Occasional domestic travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Bachelors in CS/Engineering or related field with substantial relevant experience.
• Knowledge of systems engineering and mission assurance standards.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms, services, and security.
• Willingness to travel domestically on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for major program acquisitions.
• Witness tests at unit, segment, and system levels and provide feedback.
• Participate in Agile Increment planning and reviews.
• Participate in engineering, manufacturing, and failure review boards and working groups.
• Provide status feedback on process improvements and recommendations.
• Support integration and satellite on-orbit test as required by the customer.
• Review and evaluate Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
• Develop relationships with prime contractor counterparts and subject matter experts.
