Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Guidance Navigation & Control Engineer (Level 2) to join a high-impact team in the Dulles/McLean area. The role focuses on GNC hardware, software development, and component integration for space systems.

The on-site position operates on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and requires active TS clearance. Join a team delivering advanced spacecraft capabilities for DoD, NASA, and commercial customers.

Qualifications

• Requires active DoD Top-Secret security clearance (TS) in scope.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ for software development.
• Background in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) subsystem design, analysis, and testing.
• Familiarity with GNC space components such as sun sensors, star trackers, GPS receivers, and IMUs.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and coordination of GNC hardware components across programs.
• Engage with domestic and international suppliers for GNC hardware testing.
• Provide status tracking and close action items for GNC components throughout the lifecycle.
• Perform trade studies and conduct requirement reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Design and procure GNC test equipment and lead integration with spacecraft.
