Job summary

Rocket Lab in Littleton, CO is seeking a Spacecraft GNC Engineer II to lead GNC/ADCS development for a growing fleet of spacecraft. You will work across the engineering lifecycle—from concept and algorithm development to flight software implementation, requirements development, and I&T—interacting with Systems, Avionics, Flight Software, and Mission Operations teams.

You will coordinate with teams in Long Beach, CA and New Zealand, plan schedules, and ensure mission success with customers. U.S.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering field; 2+ years of industry experience in GNC/ADCS
• Experience interfacing with aerospace customers (commercial or government)
• U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements

Responsibilities

• Design flight software, algorithms, and simulation products.
• Develop spacecraft autonomy tools for constellation management.
• GNC component selection and GNC subsystem design.
• Test process development and execution.
• Define fault detection and response.
• Hardware-in-the-loop and Monte Carlo simulation.
• Integrate flight and simulation software with analysis, test, and operations tools.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and program managers to plan schedules.
