Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is hiring an Engineering Tech Support – Level 1 in Dulles, VA for a 100% onsite role. You will provide wiring harness assembly, electrical/mechanical support, and ensure adherence to ISO processes and cleanroom protocols.

The position requires ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance, flexibility to work 2nd/3rd shifts, overtime, and up to 25% travel for launch campaigns. A detailed safety-focused, quality-driven approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret clearance or be able to obtain one.
• High School diploma or equivalent; no additional education required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Ability to lift and position up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive motions.
• Willingness to work 2nd and 3rd shifts, weekends, overtime; up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Interpret detailed work instructions, schematics, wire lists and engineering drawings.
• Assemble electromechanical and electronic components and spacecraft wire harnesses.
• Support integration of spaceflight electrical hardware with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Strictly follow ISO processes, cleanroom protocols, ESD controls and hazardous material handling.
• Communicate work status to management and raise issues affecting quality or schedule.
• Collaborate with engineers and leads to resolve technical issues.
