Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Configuration & Change Manager to own the integrity and evolution of product designs and operational systems. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and production, governing how changes are tracked, assessed, and executed without breaking current work.

You will lead ECOs, BOM management, and cross-functional boards across satellites, ground systems, and infrastructure to maintain traceability, scalability, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or related technical field.
• 7+ years in configuration or change management or engineering operations.
• Hands-on experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia).
• Experience managing ECR/ECO through full release and production cycles.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional boards and drive accountability.
• Strong risk assessment and impact analysis for hardware, software, infra changes.
• Experience in aerospace, satellite, telecom, or mission-critical environments.
• Ability to read technical documentation, drawings, and specs.
• Ownership mindset in fast-paced startups.

Responsibilities

• Establish Change Management policies, standards, and governance.
• Own and maintain product BOM structures and configuration baselines.
• Lead Change Control Board meetings and process.
• Perform impact analysis and risk assessment for changes.
• Coordinate ECO implementation across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations.
• Drive configuration audits for hardware-software-documentation alignment.
• Analyze change-related incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Resolve conflicts between priorities to avoid disruptions.
• Partner with supply chain to ensure BOM executable and procurement safety.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve workflow efficiency.
