Job summary

IonQ, Inc. seeks an engineer to join the Spacecraft Production & Test team in Louisville. You will develop and execute test plans for spacecraft components and systems, and write scripts within an existing test automation framework.

You will perform functional and performance tests on hardware and software, analyze data, and propose efficiency improvements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct environmental tests, participate in design reviews, and help maintain test

Qualifications

• Role open to range of engineering backgrounds (software, electrical, mechanical) and experience levels.
• Track record of safe and effective testing of complex systems.
• Methodical approach to testing and problem solving of complex systems.
• Electrical and software aptitude; comfortable with multimeter, Linux terminal.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Experience specifying and executing environmental testing including vibration, thermal, TVAC.
• 2+ years of equivalent experience in test engineering or similar field.
• Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and operations.
• Familiar with Python scripting/automation.
• Experience operating in contamination- and ESD-sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and procedures for components and spacecraft systems.
