Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Satellite Hardware Engineer (Bus Structures). You will design spacecraft structures, integrate subsystems, and run trades balancing mass, manufacturability, and launch considerations.

You will work across Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, RF, and Systems Engineering to deliver a cohesive, flight-ready vehicle and support qualification, manufacturing, and launch activities in Redmond, WA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with CAD tools and engineering documentation.
• Ability to collaborate on multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop spacecraft structural hardware and vehicle architectures.
• Integrate multiple subsystems into a cohesive mechanical design.
• Perform engineering trade studies balancing performance, manufacturability, mass, cost, schedule.
• Develop detailed mechanical designs from concept through production.
• Collaborate across Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, RF, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering.
• Support structural analysis, qualification testing, manufacturing, and launch integration.
