Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies in San Francisco seeks an Avionics Integration Engineer to develop, test, and validate flight electronics across avionics, power, propulsion, and thermal systems.

You will design PCBA interfaces, write Python-based test software, and lead large, high-visibility campaigns while collaborating with design teams. A BS/MS in EE/EC and hands-on hardware experience are required.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent technical degree.
• 1+ years of experience or equivalent internship or project experience.
• Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals.
• Experience using electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc).
• Experience with debugging systems and circuits with multiple layers of hardware and software integration.
• Exposure to wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, block diagrams, etc.
• Ability turn high-level requirements into clear design/test objectives.
• Hands-on hardware development in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design automated hardware and software solutions to test+validate flight-worthy hardware.
• Firefight complex vehicle electrical systems issues.
• Design PCBA's to interface with flight hardware.
• Write software in object-oriented Python to control test equipment, custom hardware, and our satellites.
• Lead large, high-visibility test campaigns with multiple stakeholders across the company.
• Work closely with the design team to provide feedback through qualification and acceptance process.
• Contribute to mitigation of system-level and unit-level issues.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring additional teammates.
