Job summary

The role emphasizes hands-on HITL experience, verification plans, and mentoring junior engineers. Eligible candidates have a EE/CS degree and 3+ years in system design and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in system design, test planning, and validation.
• Proficiency in programming with Python.
• Experience with power supplies, modular DAQ systems, RTD and 4-20mA devices, and general test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define project scopes from concept to prototype and full-scale production.
• Develop electrical architecture, system diagrams, and budgets for power, telemetry, channel count, size, and mass predictions.
• Analyze architecture for faults and risks, develop mitigation plans, and collaborate on FDIR or workarounds when hardware is unfeasible.
• Conduct comprehensive verification plans for avionics systems on flight and HITL hardware for launch readiness.
• Participate in mission operations as an avionics specialist or system operator and mentor junior engineers.
