Job summary

Momentus is seeking an Electrical Avionics Engineer to design, build, test, and fly avionics units for Momentus vehicles, including flight computers, cameras, and power systems. You will work in a fast-paced environment on challenging problems related to small, high-performance avionics hardware.

The role emphasizes PCB layout, test planning for flight qualification, and expertise in space-grade electronics, radiation, thermal, and EMC/EMI considerations. A US security clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • 5-8 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to hold and maintain a USG Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop avionics units including flight computers, data handling, and payload interfaces.
  • Design power converters and distribution systems.
  • Work on attitude determination sensors, cameras, and RF systems.
  • Perform PCB schematic capture and layout; review electronics designs.
