Job summary

EOI Space is seeking a Lead Technician in Lafayette, CO to head the technician team for spacecraft assembly, integration, and test. This working leadership role blends hands‑on build work with daily team leadership across mechanical and electrical integration, harness fabrication, and final spacecraft assembly.

The ideal candidate has a strong hands‑on aerospace background and has progressed into leadership, with a focus on safety, workmanship, and adherence to engineering specs and ATLO

Qualifications

• 8+ years in spacecraft or satellite-related roles.
• Proven technical leadership experience.
• Hands-on aerospace assembly including harness fabrication.
• Experience with test equipment: oscilloscopes, DMMs, HiPot, torque tools.
• U.S. person required.
• Prefer IPC/NASA standards certifications.
• On-site interview skills test may be involved.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high‑performing technician team, setting expectations and monitoring progress.
• Coordinate work schedules and workload distribution across the team.
• Identify development and training opportunities through evaluations and feedback.
• Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues and provide guidance.
• Lead the assembly of the spacecraft; perform hands‑on work with the team.
• Oversee spacecraft manufacturing and integration, including subsystems and harnesses.
• Integrate and deploy GSE hardware to facilitate build.
• Oversee ATLO procedures, documentation standards, and data handling.
• Maintain safety training and ensure a safe working environment.
• Help with hiring and onboarding of new technicians.
