Loft is seeking a Lead AIT Technician to head the Assembly, Integration, and Test team while remaining hands-on with spacecraft hardware. You will mentor technicians, provide technical leadership, and partner with AIT engineers to uphold top workmanship standards.

Based in Golden, CO, this on-site role supports Loft's rapid scaling and our global missions, with cross-functional collaboration across engineering and quality teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience assembling and integrating spacecraft or similarly complex high-reliability hardware.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and managing technicians in an assembly or production environment.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly skills with high-reliability workmanship.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, 3D models and work instructions.
• Experience with precision hand tools, torque tools, and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on assembly, integration, inspection, and rework of spacecraft hardware.
• Mentor, coach, and develop AIT Technicians for growth and performance.
• Set workmanship standards and reinforce best practices across the team.
• Collaborate with AIT Engineers, Quality, and Design to improve manufacturability.
• Maintain a safe, organized production environment and lead continuous improvement.
