Job summary

Digantara U.S. is seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer in Shaw Heights, CO to profile and optimize software for spaceflight and other resource-constrained platforms.

You will assess throughput, memory, latency, and power across candidate processing architectures and contribute to trade studies and roadmaps. Responsibilities include creating partitioning options between CPU and FPGA, working with data-science and astrodynamics teams, and ensuring designs meet SWaP and deterministic

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 5+ years embedded-systems experience.
• Strong programming in C/C++ and Python with ability to prototype and optimize numerically intensive code.
• Experience with at least one radiation-hardened or radiation-tolerant platform.
• Hands-on FPGA experience: VHDL/Verilog, HLS toolchains, and partitioning know-how.
• Design for real-time, SWaP-conscious, resource-constrained environments.

Responsibilities

• Profile workflows across onboard processing architectures and assess throughput, memory, latency, and power.
• Identify bottlenecks by pipeline stage and platform class with bounded estimates.
• Develop CPU/FPGA partitioning options and hardware acceleration opportunities.
• Collaborate with data-science and astrodynamics teams on algorithmic simplifications.
• Evaluate radiation-environment implications and mitigation approaches for relevant regimes.
• Contribute to onboard-processing references: data flows, interfaces, and secure alert paths.
• Produce technology-maturation roadmaps and calibrated confidence metrics for reviews.
