Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer in the United States to design, implement, and test embedded software that interfaces with FPGA-based processing pipelines and spacecraft subsystems.

You will work with cross-domain hardware-software teams including FPGA, RF and systems engineers to translate system requirements into robust real-time software for space missions. A Secret clearance and a related technical background are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded software development in C/C++.
• Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, or bare metal firmware.
• Experience designing software for real-time or high reliability systems.
• Experience integrating software with FPGA-based hardware.
• Software-hardware debugging with logic analyzers/oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and test embedded software architectures interfacing with FPGA-based processing pipelines and spacecraft subsystems.
• Collaborate with FPGA, RF, and systems engineers to ensure seamless interaction between software and onboard electronics.
• Translate system-level requirements into reliable, real-time software implementations for on-orbit performance.
