Job summary

Peraton is seeking a full-time Engineering Technician to support our Space Exploration Network Services and Evolution contract in Waimea, Hawaii. The ideal candidate will work on VLBI operations and maintain KPGO antenna systems, requiring hands-on experience with electronic and mechanical systems.

The role includes troubleshooting subsystems, performing maintenance tasks, and understanding operational procedures. Applicants should have an AS/AA degree or equivalent experience with strong skills in maintaining mechanical equipment and using test instruments.

Qualifications

• AS/AA degree or 2 years of technical training and 2 years related experience or HS/GED and 6 years of related experience.
• 1-2 years of experience with hands-on electronic systems work.
• Ability to perform standalone shift work on a 24-hour rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Support VLBI operations, maintenance, and sustainment of KPGO antenna systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical subsystems.
• Perform hardware maintenance services, including installation or modification.
