Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking a Space Vehicle Systems Engineer (Level 3) to join the Space Systems Sector. The role focuses on integrating and testing spacecraft, payloads, and buses from concept through launch and on‑orbit operations.

A TS clearance is required and relocation may be available. The engineer will lead on‑floor integration, drive requirements development, maintain interface control documents, and support program reviews with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of systems engineering functions: requirements, interfaces, verification/validation, risk, configuration management.
• Experience presenting technical content to leadership/customers is required.
• Hands-on experience with spacecraft integration and test is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide on-floor support for integration, testing, and operational readiness of spacecraft and payloads.
• Own and perform system and subsystem requirements development, allocation, and verification/validation planning.
• Lead interface definition activities and maintain interface control documents and engineering reports.
• Plan and execute trade studies, design optimization studies, and mission timeline development.
