Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking engineers for the Integrated Performance team to simulate, analyze, and optimize Terran R trajectories and vehicle systems. The role spans from data integration to multi-disciplinary analyses across design, propulsion, and manufacturing.

You will develop software tools in Python/Julia/MATLAB, contribute to end-to-end simulation pipelines, and work in a fast-paced startup environment with ownership and impact at every level.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, CS, physics, or related field.
• Strong programming skills and ability to set up complex simulations.
• Experience with rocketry or complex hardware systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with key design teams to integrate design data into full simulations of customer missions.
• Develop and leverage software tooling to optimize launch and orbital trajectories.
• Lead interdisciplinary design trade analyses to inform decisions about vehicle, trajectories, and Concepts of Operations (ConOps).
• Define and maintain high-level vehicle and trajectory design requirements.
• Implement, maintain, and improve software tooling across languages from core simulations to analysis utilities.
• Establish and lead cross-functional collaboration with Vehicle Engineering teams.
