You will develop verification architectures, manage requirements, MBSE modeling, and risk frameworks while advancing Barrios' mission to deliver critical spaceflight infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of systems engineering experience across multiple domains.
• Subject matter authority in systems verification processes including requirements, architecture, design, integration, and verification/validation of complex systems.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence executive level engineering decisions and articulate technical differentiation to customers and business development organizations.
• Experience mentoring and developing L1 and L2 engineers, operating at a coaching and capability building level.
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams and cross program initiatives, including technical direction, partnerships, toolset decisions, and capability investments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong familiarity with enterprise engineering toolsets.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise level leadership for test, planning, development, review, and maintenance of requirements and verification architectures.
• Integrate Orion program's Operations and Maintenance Requirements and Specifications with external contractors and NASA teams.
• Build understanding of the product life cycle to perform concept trade studies, requirements management, test & verification, and MBSE modeling and analysis.
• Anticipate and identify risks; develop strategic risk frameworks; and coach teams in robust risk planning and execution.
• Lead the integration of Interface Requirements Documents and Interface Control Documents for the Orion program, notably with the Exploration Ground Systems program.
• Lead mission level architecture trade studies and analyses influencing system verification design across hardware, software, and operations domains.
• Lead process improvement initiatives that promote SE&I expertise within a digitized environment.
• Leverage systems engineering principles to establish and perform verification activities and MBSE modeling.
• Define and oversee requirements strategies and establish relationships with NASA leads, system managers, and international partners.
• Operate as a peer technical authority to program leadership.
• Maintain strategic relationships with NASA executives, commercial customers, and partner organizations.
• Define system test and verification philosophies aligned with program objectives.
• Proactively identify enterprise-wide capability needs and lead cross-organizational initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required.
