Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Apprentice Floor Lead to support integration and test efforts on the production floor for space hardware. You will oversee a cross-functional team, train staff, and ensure safety and compliance while preparing for planned activities.

The role requires a technical bachelor's degree, experience in manufacturing/test operations, and the ability to read complex drawings and procedures. A TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience with manufacturing, test operations, and test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, test procedures, and other technical documents.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team of technicians and engineers.
• Familiarity with AF (Automation Framework), SAP and VECAMS/APRISO.
• US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and direction on the production floor for a cross-functional team executing assembly, integration and test of high value space hardware.
• Train and oversee workmanship, ensuring safety and proper handling.
• Support mechanical operations as Certified Test Conductor.
• Review work instructions, schedules and other execution documents for executability.
• Ensure readiness of parts, documentation, personnel, and equipment for planned activities.
• Interface with external organizations during subsystem and system integration and testing activities.
