Job summary

L3Harris Imaging Division in Wilmington, MA is seeking a Specialist in Quality Engineering to support space-based imaging system programs. The role focuses on developing and implementing quality standards, procedures, and inspection plans to ensure product compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

The candidate will analyze nonconformities, investigate root causes, and lead corrective actions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required with 4+ years of relevant experience; graduate degree with 2+ years preferred.
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience is acceptable.
Experience leading MRB and PFMEA activities and interfacing with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide quality engineering support for design, assembly and integration of opto-mechanical and electrical assemblies.
Write program quality plans including inspection planning and program compliance plans.
Lead MRB/RCCA packages and present to customers and senior leadership.
Perform design reviews and support concurrent engineering for quality.
Verify subcontractor inspection procedures and ensure contract compliance.
Lead APQP activities including PFMEA on programs.
