Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Space Sector in Gilbert, AZ. The role emphasizes manufacturing excellence, defect annotation, and ensuring compliance with engineering requirements for space flight cable and harness assemblies.

The position requires a Top-Secret clearance, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work across a cross-functional team in a fast-paced program environment. It is an onsite role with a 9/80 schedule and OT as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience or Master's with 0 years of experience.
• Must obtain/maintain U.S. Government Top-Secret clearance.
• Experience with quality management systems and audits.
• Experience with Mission Assurance/Quality Engineering practices.
• Knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action methods.
• Knowledge of Inspection Plans and First Article Inspections.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (AS9100, ISO 9001, or Military Q/A).
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Capable and experienced in a broad-based manufacturing environment.
• Ensure engineering requirements are met within product build instructions.
• Annotate defects and identify engineering or IPC standard requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Technicians, Technical Writers, QA Inspectors, and Production Planners.
• Work well alone and within a team environment.
• Maintain focus, attention to detail, and effective communication under limited supervision.
